The Adam-Haima-Thumrait duality project enters the serious implementation phase

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has decided to begin implementing the third, fourth and fifth parts of the Sultan Said bin Taimur Road dualisation project (Adam-Haima-Thumrait), with a length of approximately 400 km, at a total cost estimated at 258 million Omani riyals.

The project, which begins in Haima and extends to Thumrait, includes the development of safe entrances and exits, diversion lanes, parking areas, truck weighing stations, and rest areas, while adhering to traffic safety and water drainage standards. Implementation is scheduled to begin in early 2025, with a planned duration of 36 months, plus 90 days for initial preparations

The project is considered one of the largest infrastructure projects in the Sultanate and will contribute to strengthening connectivity between governorates and supporting economic and tourism activity
